Fiber-Optic Switches

A fiber-optic switch is one of the possibilities to distribute light to different locations or for a multitude of applications or to connect to different light sources. For multi-channel spectroscopy, a fiber-optic switch can reduce the cost per channel significantly. Though the measurement time is increased over a system with multiple spectrometer modules, they are still in the sub-second range. Long-term reproducibilities better than 1% can be achieved.
