Description

NIRONE spectrometers are small, cost-efficient and affordable MEMS-based sensors to be integrated into process and portable devices for material analysis based on NIR absorbance / reflectance spectroscopy. The NIRONE uses patented Micro Electro-Mechanical System Fabry-Perot Interferometer, a fully programmable and scannable optical filter.

The sensor can be driven across the full wavelength range, or it can operate at selected wavelengths. The sensor’s intelligent algorithms remove the need for additional temperature stabilization. The NIRONE has a single channel, large-area InGaAs detector instead of a linear array, delivering significantly better SNR performance as light is not restricted by an entrance slit.

The NIRONE can also include two integrated light sources, read-out and drive electronics and built-in intelligence, which guarantees extremely stable output even for the most demanding industrial or consumer applications. The spectral sensor can easily be adapted to specific measurement needs with suitable front optics. A single electrical connector (I2C communication) makes the sensor easy to integrate. It provides additional access to a trigger signal to control a separate light source.

The Evaluation Kit provides a good starting point for technology evaluation and application studies. It includes a USB communication board for control via PC, micro reflection optics, SMA-connector and user-friendly SensorControl software.

The NIRONE is offered in 5 versions, each covering a specific spectral span in the NIR range: S1.4 – S1.7 – S2.0 – S2.2 – S2.5
